My husband, Jim, and I have been coaching students in competitive speech for over a decade. We’ve helped kids who are shy or anxious learn to give 10 minute speeches confidently. Professors in college are often shocked to learn these students struggled to communicate in their teen years.
We watched our own children grow as speakers and in their faith through homeschool competitive speech. We stayed as volunteer coaches after our kids graduated from high school. At almost every tournament, a parent would ask, "Is there something similar for my child in public/private school?" It used to break my heart to say no.
It's with great joy that I can now say, "Yes!" Christian Speech League is for all students ages 12-18.
